Yucky drum brake on my rear end. You can't tell from this pic, but the bearing in there is wasted... it all has to come out.  Blech. dirt and rust, yes - that's what holds my EB together at this point.
THis is supposed to be the auto adjust on the Ford 9" drum brake... I don't think it works.  In fact, at this point, I don' No shoes on the back feet... axle shafts on their way out axle shaft out... gosh, that is a trashed drum brake
yikes... and more yikes interesting, i pulled some roller bearings out of the axle housing... strange.
more pics of the grimey rear brakes blech I painted the rear inner fender wells... dunno why. Just wanted to.
they came out pretty good... POR Metal Ready and the grinder got them decently clean, then just blasted them with some 3M under Nice to have some clean new paint at least somewhere. good contrast.
